The Mystic Carver's Club will sponsor a weekend with Wayne Barton of the Alpine School of Woodcarving. For those who do not know, Wayne is one of the best Chip Cavers. The Mystic Carver's Club will sponsor a weekend with Bob Stadtlander. He will be focusing on Relief carving, many projects to pick from.

CWCA Monthly Meeting: Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at CT Forest and Park Association Building on Rte 66 in Middlefield.
CARVING A WALKING STICK We are conducting our annual walking stick carving class. We provide the sticks. Bring your carving knife. This popular class is being done on Saturday. Sticks will be provided. Please feel free to come on down and create a walking stick. Shaving horses will be available. Everyone is welcome – individuals and families with children age 10 or older. We have had Scouts come and work on earning a badge here in the past. If you know a scout, encourage them to come, learn and have fun!

The Mystic Carvers Club is pleased to announce their sponsorship of the 2010 CCA CarveAlong East, to be held Friday evening through Monday afternoon, May 28, 29, 30 and 31 (Memorial Day weekend). The site will be the Alton B. Jones Annex of the University of Rhode Island, which is located on 2200 acres of woodlands and ponds, conveniently reached a few miles off of I-95 at exit 5B in West Greenwich, RI (see http://www.uri.edu/ajc/eec/facset.html). Our Package price this year is $370.00, which includes the classes, room and all meals and snacks. The CCA Instructors for 2010 are More information. Instructors include the following: P.J.
